Emil Valkanov

Emil Valkanov has extensive managerial experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in Procredit Bank Bulgaria. During the period 2006-2016 he worked for UBB Interlease EAD, occupying the positions of Senior Financial Analyst, Credit Risk Manager, and Director of Risk Management. In 2016, he became CEO for Bulgaria of the leasing company Mogo Finance, international fintech group operating in 18 countries. Since 2019, he has been with BDB Leasing, initially as a Procurator, and subsequently as an Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. He graduated from the University of National and World Economy with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, with a Master’s Degree in International Finance. He is a CFA Charterholder.
